Brief
With the European Union Deforestation-Free Regulation (EUDR) coming into effect in 2024, The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) need to create a platform that would help their clients remain compliant. They created FSC Trace, an online digital ledger utilizing blockchain technology as a method to legitimize and modernize supply chain tracking. The platform has multiple uses, allowing cross-verification of data, secure data holding on trades, and production of reports for regulatory compliance.
But how does such a large global company explain such a complex concept in a short and effective amount of time, to a wide audience? The answer: a beautifully animated video, breaking down complex concepts about our supply chains and their new challenges into simple and elegant visual executions.

Animation was executed in After Effects over the course of two weeks. Many sections required path frame-by-frame animation.
