The Brief
Rufus Du Sol was going to perform for the first time ever at Coachella Music Festival 2024 in Palm Springs, California. Set at the newly created Quasar Stage, their DJ set would last 3 hours, along with heavy hitters Eric Prydz & Anyma on Weekend 2 of the festival. The client needed visuals that fit Rufus' iconic styles and associations - the elements, cinematic abstracts, and gradients. Along with a team of 8-9 artists, we created visuals that were interspersed with content from their Zamna show to create a bespoke show for the Coachella audience. The visuals needed to fit the bespoke shape of the LED screen sculpture. With this in mind, 3 visuals were created, playing on the idea of gradated streams, fluted glass, and shuffling steps. Although I played a small part in this short, I'm extremely proud of the work done here.
